Chief Technology Officer

We are looking for a Chief Technology Officer.

GlucoSet is developing a fiber optic glucose sensor to reduce complications and lower costs in critically ill patients. Located in Trondheim, Norway we are backed by experienced venture capital investors.

You will lead, manage and execute our company’s research and development efforts, and play a key role in the company’s strategic development. You will lead the 10 engineers and scientists working in the company and work closely with the CEO and the board.

What we are looking for: Do you have the expertise and experience needed to take our technology to the next level?

  • Expertise: Can you strengthen the team with deep expertise with

    • Medical device development, particularly device types that are similar to our device, such as critical monitoring equipment, intravascular devices or (glucose) sensors

    • Expertise in technical areas critical for the success of the product, such as photonics or responsive hydrogels

    • State of the art project management techniques and data driven decision making

  • Industry experience: You have a documented track record of managing the development of medical products

    • Development of commercial medical devices from concept to high volume manufacturing

    • Requirements management, product performance and mass production, Design for Six Sigma.

    • The regulatory framework that development must be done within, including ISO 13485, ISO14971 and numerous other relevant standards

    • Product development within startups

Minimum requirements: 

  • MSc in a relevant field

  • 10+ years of experience managing commercial medical device or IVD product development

  • 5+ years of management experience

  • Fluent in English, written and spoken

  • (You do not need to understand Norwegian)
